 Verified Satirical....but maybe real life? This was a great read that uplifted my spirits. I'm not the only one! That's what I kept thinking as I read some of these hypothetical situations that somehow also closely aligned with my own lived experience in STEM.  Verified Also A Guide for Guys Great book alert! Seriously, you need to read this. Caroline masterfully uses wit and humor, reminding us to examine our biases and strive to be better humans. And for those of us not in IT (like me), it doubles as a survival guide for dealing with the occasional “Chad” from tech support—the ones who speak in mysterious codes and have the patience of a caffeinated squirrel.  Verified Yes, I’m a Man—and I Loved It Yes, it's written for women—but if you're a man who wants to understand what your female colleagues are really dealing with (and maybe stop being that guy in the Slack thread), read this.  Verified A great read for everyone! "A Woman's Guide to Winning in Tech" is a satirical look at women in the tech workplace. Each chapter includes a recap of an experience, proposed actions/reactions, "From the Forums" (online discussions of the topic), FAQs and conclusion. While is is a fun and quick read, I enjoyed spending time with each chapter to review my own experiences and reactions throughout the years. Caroline can be just as caustic as Mark Twain in her humor. Just like reading Twain, I sometimes need time for it all to sink in.Women will recognize the microaggressions presented in each chapter and appreciate the various proposed ways of facing them no matter their industry. Men may recognize themselves or coworkers in these situations and hopefully be more cognizant of their (even unintended) behavior to bring about change. This is a great read for everyone. What better way is there to confront a problem than through humor?

Caroline Dunn is an award-winning author, engineer, tech marketing executive, and content creator with a YouTube audience of over 40,000 subscribers. Her innovative projects—from facial recognition systems to smart home automation—have led to features in The MagPi (Raspberry Pi’s official magazine), VoyageATL, and Hypepotamus. Her writing has also been published in Tom’s Hardware and Commercial Integrator.

She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Outside of tech, Caroline and her husband, Paul, enjoy running, traveling, and exploring Atlanta’s vibrant music and arts scene.
